MVP Dismisses Boxxer Offer For Thorslund-Hennessy
Most Valuable Promotions has rejected a Boxxer proposal to match undisputed bantamweight champion Dina Thorslund against British contender Francesca Hennessy, per BBC Sport.
Thorslund holds all four major sanctioning body titles at 118 pounds. Hennessy stopped Valentina De Persio in six rounds in May to position herself as a challenger in the division.
Why MVP Turned Down The Boxxer Proposal
The Danish champion's promotional outfit declined the offer without public comment on financial terms or an alternative opponent. Boxxer has been building Hennessy as a domestic headliner since signing her last year.
Thorslund unified the belts earlier this year and has fought primarily in Europe under the MVP banner. Hennessy, who trains out of Sheffield, remains unbeaten in twelve professional fights.
No replacement date or opponent has been announced for Thorslund's next defence. Boxxer could explore mandatory obligations or pivot Hennessy toward another title route.
