Muratalla defends IBF lightweight title against Conceicao on Roach-Zepeda card

Raymond Muratalla will defend his IBF lightweight title against Robson Conceicao on August 1 in Las Vegas, joining the already-stacked Lamont Roach Jr versus William Zepeda card, Bad Left Hook reports.

The 29-year-old Muratalla enters off a January upset of former Olympic champion Andy Cruz to retain the belt, which he claimed after Vasiliy Lomachenko retired. Muratalla carries a 24-0 record with 17 knockouts into the bout and is expected to open as the betting favorite.

Conceicao brings a 21-3-1 ledger and ten stoppages to the matchup. The 37-year-old Brazilian held the WBC super featherweight strap briefly in 2024 but went without a world title fight in 2025. His track record at 130 pounds includes a disputed loss to Oscar Valdez in 2021, a draw against Emanuel Navarrete in 2023, and a clear defeat to Shakur Stevenson in 2022.

The TNT and DAZN broadcast will feature co-promotion from Top Rank, Golden Boy, and TGB Promotions in a rare cross-promotional setup. Roach and Zepeda will fight for the vacant WBC lightweight title in the main event.

Conceicao last fought on April 4 in a stay-busy assignment in Brazil. Muratalla has not competed since January.
