Moicano Suffers Upset TKO Loss To Nolan At UFC Vegas 123
Renato Moicano suffered a stoppage loss to Tom Nolan in the UFC Vegas 123 main event on Halloween night, as reported by MMA Mania. The lightweight clash at the Meta Apex saw Nolan halt Moicano's momentum with a TKO finish.
Moicano had previously expressed frustration about being booked at the Apex instead of arena shows. The setback came on a card that featured welterweight prospect Jacobe Smith facing veteran Randy Brown in the co-main event on short notice. Smith entered the bout having stopped every opponent he has faced so far.
UFC Halloween Card Featured Multiple Debuts
The October 31 event included the UFC debut of former OKTAGON two-division champion Lucia Szabova, who fought Tainara Lisboa. Other main card bouts saw Ode' Osbourne meet Cody Durden and Yana Santos take on Luana Santos. Mickey Gall looked to snap a four-fight skid against Zachary Reese on the prelims.
The entire card streamed live on Paramount Plus, with prelims starting at 5 p.m. ET and the main card at 8 p.m. ET. Per MMA Mania, UFC CEO Dana White was expected to appear at the post-fight press conference scheduled for approximately 11:15 p.m. ET.
The promotion returns to the Apex facility for its next event in two weeks.
