MMA Mania Host Reveals Deep Sumo Knowledge

MMA Mania host Tim Edwards used Tuesday's open thread to reveal two unexpected areas of expertise beyond mixed martial arts.

Edwards, who handles live UFC event coverage for the outlet, told readers that sumo wrestling ranks among his deepest knowledge bases. He also confessed to knowing "way too much" about 90s-era Warhammer, the tabletop game franchise, adding that he loves it.

The disclosure came as part of the site's regular open thread feature, which invites the MMA Mania community to discuss topics outside the cage. Edwards posed the question to readers: what subject do they know too much about?

The November 3 thread also included a daily trivia challenge, with Edwards scoring 33 out of 45 on what he described as a tough edition. MMA Mania's open threads run each Tuesday as a break from fight coverage and analysis.
