Canelo Alvarez stayed at the top of ESPN's divisional rankings after reclaiming the WBC title against Christian Mbilli.

Mbilli, who lost to Alvarez in their recent bout, fell one spot in the updated rankings released this week. The result cemented Canelo's hold on the No. 1 position despite questions about his opposition.

The victory marked Canelo's latest defense of his standing in the 168-pound division, where he has dominated for years. Mbilli entered as an undefeated prospect but could not solve the Mexican champion's ring IQ.

ESPN's rankings reflect the current pecking order across all weight classes, with updates following major fights. Canelo's position at the top of his division appears secure heading into his next camp.
