Perry Vows To Break Danis' Face At Dual Arena 1
Mike Perry promised to badly hurt Dillon Danis when they meet August 29 in Orlando.
Perry and Danis square off at Dual Arena 1 in an MMA bout that features the former UFC welterweight against the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt. Perry told Ariel Helwani he expects to keep the fight standing and make Danis pay with his power. "I have a job to do, I have to beat this guy up," Perry said, per BJPenn.com. "I don't gotta move my head. I'll break your fist with my face, and then I'll break your face with my fist."
Perry Doubts Danis Can Handle Damage
Perry believes his aggressive style will overwhelm Danis once blood starts flowing. He questioned whether the submission specialist can handle the bloody side of fighting, saying he cannot wait to see what Danis is made of when his eyes start leaking. Perry thinks Danis will quit once he gets cut and starts bleeding.
Perry enters 15-8 after stopping Nate Diaz in his return to MMA on the MVP card. He went 6-0 in BKFC with wins over Jeremy Stephens, Eddie Alvarez, Michael Venom Page, and Luke Rockhold. Danis expects to submit Perry, but the former bare-knuckle champion plans to end the fight with damage on the feet in front of his hometown Orlando fans.
The Dual Arena 1 card features several UFC veterans including Phil Rowe, Jimi Manuwa, and Chase Sherman in a mix of boxing and MMA bouts. Perry closes as a heavy favourite against Danis, who has not fought in MMA since 2019.
