McMillen Claims Volkanovski Has No Path To Victory

Tom Rashid

Undefeated UFC featherweight prospect Tommy McMillen says reigning champion Alexander Volkanovski has no way to beat him.

McMillen, who is 11-0 and has won two UFC fights by stoppage, told the One Night with Steiny podcast that he would take a title shot for the right price. "I'll take Volk. He's like 42 years old, he's 5'5", what's his path to victory?" he said, per Sherdog. "He's gonna bang with me for five rounds? I've never even seen a fourth or fifth round; those are gonna be my best rounds."

McMillen's UFC Run and Record-Breaking Performance

The 28-year-old picked up performance bonuses in both his UFC appearances and set the promotion record for most significant strikes in a three-round fight when he landed 513 against Alberto Montes. His only fight to reach the scorecards came on Dana White's Contender Series, where he earned his contract.

McMillen added that he believes he can beat anyone in the featherweight top 15 if the UFC makes the right offer. Volkanovski, who is 37, reclaimed the vacant title after losing the belt to Ilia Topuria in 2024 and recently defended it against Diego Lopes.

The Australian champion is expected to face unbeaten contender Movsar Evloev in his next outing, though the UFC has not confirmed the matchup.
