Max Holloway's foundation pulled in more than $300,000 at its debut golf tournament last month, with the former UFC featherweight champion hosting the event at Kapolei Golf Club to benefit youth programs across Hawaiʻi.

The July 20 fundraiser drew current lightweight champion Justin Gaethje, UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier, retired featherweight Cub Swanson, commentator Jon Anik, and former NFL tight end Kyle Rudolph, according to a UFC.com release. The event was presented in partnership with UFC, Chosen Advisory, and Kapolei Golf Club, with local businesses including 808 Puffs, Shiro's Saimin, Highway Inn, and Zippy's supporting the effort.

Foundation Distributes First Grants To Island Organizations

The foundation has already awarded more than $75,000 in grants to four initial recipients working with youth and families throughout the islands, per the release. Searider Productions was named among the first organizations to receive funding, with the grants putting dollars raised at the tournament directly into community programs.

"What started as an idea to bring people together around something meaningful exceeded our expectations," Holloway said in the release. "Raising more than $300,000 at our first tournament is an incredible accomplishment, but what makes us most proud is seeing those dollars already reaching organizations doing important work across Hawaiʻi."

The foundation plans to expand the tournament in 2027 after the successful first edition, which was hosted by Hawaiʻi sports broadcaster Rob DeMello and drew golfers, sponsors, and community leaders to Kapolei.
