Wach Books 6 vs. 1 Freakshow After Fury Loss

Mariusz Wach will take on six opponents simultaneously next week, less than two weeks after losing to Tyson Fury in a tune-up bout nobody asked for.

The 46-year-old Polish heavyweight, who retired on the stool after seven rounds against Fury on July 24 in Thailand, accepted a Prime MMA booking for Aug. 8 that pits him against what the promotion is calling a "6-person GYPSY TEAM," MMA Mania reports. The match will be contested under K-1 kickboxing rules with MMA gloves, with Wach facing two opponents at a time while the remaining four can tag in and out.

Wach's Freakshow History Before Fury Bout

The booking continues a pattern for Wach, whose legitimate boxing career ended roughly a decade ago. Over the past ten years he compiled a 7-11 record fighting in obscure venues, supplemented by stunt matches against multiple opponents. The Fury fight drew just 1,500 spectators in Pattaya and was intended solely for Fury's Netflix reality series "At Home With The Furys," though footage leaked online anyway.

Fury stopped Wach after the Polish veteran quit between rounds, completing a second warm-up fight before his November showdown with Anthony Joshua. Fury had previously beaten Arslanbek Makhmudov in April at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in front of 64,500 fans, a legitimate affair broadcast on Netflix. The Wach detour came after Joshua's car crash in late 2025 pushed back the superfight.

Joshua narrowly defeated Kristian Prenga in his own stay-busy bout. Fury and Joshua are now cleared to meet in November, barring further delays.
