LFA champ Lucas Fernando booked for UFC 330 debut

Legacy Fighting Alliance heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight champion Lucas Fernando has signed with the UFC and will make his Octagon debut against Rafael Tobias at UFC 330 on Aug. 15 in Philadelphia, MMA Fighting's Guilherme Cruz reported.

Fernando holds a 13-3 record and appeared on Dana White's Contender Series three years ago, dropping a decision to Cesar Almeida in 2023. The Brazilian dropped another bout on LFA after that setback but has since rattled off four straight wins, finishing his last two opponents to claim the promotion's 205-pound belt.

Tobias seeks first UFC win at UFC 330

Tobias enters with a 14-2 record and will look to earn his first UFC victory. He submitted Jair de Oliveira on the Contender Series in 2025 to earn his contract but lost his promotional debut to Diyar Nurgozhay in March.

UFC 330 takes place at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia and features Islam Makhachev defending his lightweight title against Ian Garry in the main event. Mackenzie Dern and Gillian Robertson meet in the co-main for the women's strawweight championship.
