Lineker Loses GFN 1 Main Event In Muay Thai Debut

Former ONE Championship bantamweight titleholder John Lineker absorbed a unanimous decision defeat against Ahavat Gordon in Monday's GFN 1 main event at Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv, per MMA Mania.

The bout unfolded under Muay Thai rules and delivered the kind of firefight Lineker typically brings. Both men connected with serious power across the rounds, but Gordon landed enough clean work to sweep the cards. The 35-year-old Brazilian brought his trademark heavy hands but couldn't impose his will on the undefeated Israeli.

Lineker's Striking Skid Reaches Four Fights

Lineker has now dropped four straight contests in Muay Thai and kickboxing formats. ONE released him earlier this year following a failed drug test. He scored a boxing win over Rogerio Ferreira last month, but his run outside MMA has been rough otherwise.

Elsewhere on the card, former UFC bantamweight Jose Alberto Quinonez was stopped in under a minute by Kibedy Gordon in the opening bout of the triple main event. Lando Vannata took a split decision over Natan Levy in an all-UFC-veteran clash. Vannata was the lone American on the card and the only one from Team World to win.

GFN 1's "Israel vs. The World" format ended 10-2 in favor of the home side. Gordon remains unbeaten in pure Muay Thai competition.
