Jones Calls White An Asshole After UFC Split
Jon Jones described UFC boss Dana White as an asshole following his departure from the heavyweight division, though the former champion said his gratitude for the UFC president remains intact.
Jones vacated the heavyweight title amid the promotion's push for him to face Tom Aspinall, a move that drew sharp criticism from White. When asked by ALF Global to characterize the UFC CEO in one word, Jones picked asshole but qualified the assessment as current rather than permanent.
Jones On White Despite UFC Heavyweight Split
The former double champion said the rift has not changed his appreciation for the opportunities the UFC gave him. He told the outlet that White is his boss and changed his life, adding that he loves him no matter what happens between them.
White has continued to call Jones the greatest fighter of all time despite the heavyweight standoff, per Sherdog. Jones said he remains open to competing again but is currently focused on coaching heavyweight prospect Gable Steveson.
