Jan Blachowicz vs. Bogdan Guskov 2 set for UFC Belgrade
Former UFC heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz will rematch Bogdan Guskov on Aug. 1 at Belgrade Arena, the promotion confirmed Friday.
The pairing was first revealed by Vestnik MMA and marks the second attempt to reschedule a bout originally slated for UFC 328 in May. Blachowicz had to pull out of that card after tearing a meniscus, per MMA Fighting.
Majority draw at UFC 323 leads to rematch
The two light heavyweights first met at UFC 323 in December, ending in a majority draw after one judge scored it 29-28 for Blachowicz while the other two turned in 28-28 cards. Guskov earned a pair of 10-8 rounds in the second frame, which prevented either man from collecting a win.
Blachowicz (29-11-2) has now gone four fights without a victory, including two draws, stretching back to 2022. Guskov (18-3-1) saw a four-fight winning streak end with the stalemate.
UFC Belgrade is headlined by Serbian welterweight Uros Medic against Daniel Rodriguez and represents the promotion's first event in Serbia.
