Hussain's 16-0 Record Tested At Inner Circle 28
Unbeaten flyweight Ubaid Hussain puts his perfect 16-0 professional record on the line at The Inner Circle 28 this Friday in Bangkok. The 20-year-old meets Isannuea Sor Sasiwat in a flyweight Muay Thai bout at Lumpinee Stadium, streaming live on August 28, with a six-figure contract one win away.
Hussain has built his pristine resume entirely inside ONE Championship since debuting in December 2024. He knocked out Thai veteran Petsinchai Kingballroofphuket in the first round that night, then outpointed fellow undefeated striker Khusen Salomov four months later at ONE Friday Fights 105 despite battling illness through camp. "I was quite excited. When I'm walking out, you always see me smiling, but I was under pressure," Hussain said of his debut, per BJPenn.com. "And to wrap up the debut with the finish...it was quite remarkable."
Hussain Cleared Toughest Test Against Panpadej
The toughest number on Hussain's ledger came this past April against Panpadej Looksuan, who entered on a perfect 5-0 promotional run and had already beaten Isannuea by decision months earlier. Hussain pulled through despite trailing on the scorecards. He later added his first finish since his debut with a first-round TKO of Sanpet Sor Salacheep, dropping his opponent three times before the stoppage.
"I knew I was behind on the scorecards. He had some kinda strength in him," Hussain told BJPenn.com about the Panpadej fight. "I'm not rushing for the contract. I'm happy to continue proving that I truly deserve it."
Hussain has gone 8-0 inside ONE Championship since his promotional debut. The winner Friday secures a spot on the main roster and a contract worth up to $100,000.
