NSAC Fines Holloway, Pimblett, Steveson For Octagon Exit

The Nevada State Athletic Commission hit Max Holloway, Paddy Pimblett and Gable Steveson with $2,500 fines apiece Wednesday for leaping out of the cage at UFC 329.

According to ESPN, the penalties target a post-fight celebration trend that regulators want stopped. All three fighters exited the Octagon on July 11 following their bouts on the Las Vegas card.

Why NSAC Moved Against Cage-Exit Violations

State commissions have grown concerned about fighter safety when competitors clear the fence after a win. The fines mark Nevada's attempt to curb the practice before someone gets hurt landing outside the cage or colliding with cornermen and officials.

Holloway remains one of the sport's most popular featherweights despite the fine. Pimblett continues his climb at lightweight, while Steveson fights out his UFC contract after a brief heavyweight run.

The commission has not announced whether repeat offenders will face stiffer penalties. UFC 330 is scheduled for September in Las Vegas.
