Hunt Faces Perea In DWCS Main Event

Undefeated welterweight Zevan Hunt meets Mayton Perea in Tuesday night's Dana White's Contender Series main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Hunt brings a 7-0 record to the cage, per MMA Fighting, with his last three wins all coming by finish. Perea rides a three-fight knockout streak of his own into the matchup. The co-main event features middleweights Oscar Ravello and Igor Calvacanti, both of whom have won five of their last six outings.

Through five weeks of the current Contender Series season, 24 UFC contracts have been awarded. Last week's show alone produced four deals, according to the report. Tuesday's card airs on Paramount+ starting at 7 p.m. ET.

In the night's opening bout, Tyshawn Williams scored a unanimous decision over Antonio Monteiro by scores of 29-28, 29-27, and 29-27. Luis Hernandez faces Hugo Guillon earlier on the card, while Ednilson Santos takes on Akbar Abdullaev in another featured matchup.
