What Haney-Paro Unification Means For 147-Pound Division
Haney, a former lightweight undisputed champion, moved up two weight classes earlier this year. The 25-year-old from Las Vegas has not fought since a controversial decision loss to Ryan Garcia in April, a result later changed to a no-contest after Garcia tested positive for a banned substance.
Paro, the Australian champion, won the IBF title by stopping Subriel Matias in June. The 28-year-old has defended the belt once since claiming it.

The December date puts both fighters back in action before the year ends. San Francisco's Chase Center will host the card.
