Haney Addresses Reports Of Mother's Passing

Devin Haney has responded to reports of his mother's passing with a statement on social media, the first acknowledgment from the family since former champion Mickey Bey offered condolences online earlier this week. Haney has not directly confirmed the death, though most read his statement as doing so.
The WBO reposted Haney's message on X, offering condolences on behalf of the organization.

Haney became a three-division world champion after beating Brian Norman Jr. for the WBO welterweight title in late 2025. His planned October defense against mandatory challenger Keyshawn Davis fell through after Davis withdrew, and reports now suggest Haney is targeting a second belt in a fight with IBF titleholder Liam Paro.
