Gamrot vs. Salkilld set to headline UFC Vegas 120 in August

Mateusz Gamrot will meet surging Australian Quillan Salkilld in a lightweight main event Aug. 8 at UFC Vegas 120, the promotion announced Thursday.

The Apex card features Poland's Gamrot coming off an arm-triangle submission of Esteban Ribovics in April. That bounce-back followed a first-round TKO loss to former champion Charles Oliveira, snapping a streak that included wins over Ludovit Klein and Rafael dos Anjos. The 26-4 lightweight has collected five post-fight bonuses across nine UFC appearances since 2022.

Salkilld rides four-fight UFC finish streak

Salkilld enters on a twelve-fight win streak dating to his 2021 pro debut, with all four UFC victories coming by stoppage. The 26-year-old from Australia sparked Anshul Jubli and Nasrat Haqparast in 2025 before submitting Jamie Mullarkey and demolishing Beneil Dariush in under four minutes this year. Each finish earned a bonus check.

Gamrot has alternated wins and losses since 2024, splitting decisions with Dan Hooker and dos Anjos before the Oliveira setback and Ribovics rebound. Salkilld has yet to taste defeat inside the Octagon.

The card streams live on Paramount Plus and includes heavyweight Steven Asplund against Guilherme Pat, plus Amanda Lemos facing Alexia Thainara at women's strawweight.
