BKFC boss rips fighter after weigh-in shove nearly sends opponent off stage

BKFC president David Feldman tore into one of his own fighters after a weigh-in shove nearly knocked an opponent off the stage Thursday.

Pat Sullivan, a Philadelphia native, pushed Ruben Arroyo during the BKFC Liberty Brawl ceremonial staredowns, sending the four-time BKFC veteran stumbling toward the edge. The two had posed without incident during their initial faceoff, but when officials asked them to turn forward for additional media shots, they began jostling for position. Arroyo ducked under Sullivan's arm to claim his spot, and Sullivan responded by shoving him hard enough that security had to rush in.

That security included Feldman himself, who immediately pushed Sullivan back while shouting at him. "What the f*ck would you do that for?" Feldman said, per MMA Fighting. "What the f*ck's your problem? F*cking punk. F*cking jerkoff."

Sullivan kept grinning through the scolding, though it is unlikely he earned any goodwill with the promotion's top executive. The rest of the weigh-ins proceeded without further drama, including the faceoff between former BKFC champion Mike Richman and Johnny Garbarino, who had been separated multiple times at Wednesday's press conference.

Sullivan and Arroyo fight Saturday night at BKFC Liberty Brawl.
