Fans Predict Derrick Lewis Vs. Tallison Teixeira – ‘He's Not Winning'

Derrick Lewis takes on the undefeated Tallison Teixeira in a middleweight fight this weekend, as MMA fans gave their predictions.

Lewis is at the tail end of his career, as the 40-year-old fights for the first time since May 2024. He got a third-round knockout win over Rodrigo Nascimento in his last fight. The win was vital as it put an end to the streak of four out of five defeats. Lewis has said that he wants a fight with the UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall before he retires. Any hopes of that can only happen if he secures a win. He is on the right track, with two wins from his last three, beating Nascimento and Marcos Rogério de Lima.

Meanwhile, Teixeira has an unblemished 8-0 MMA record. Seven of those wins were by knockout. Teixeira made his UFC debut at UFC 312 in February 2025, where he stopped Justin Tafa in a mere 35 seconds of the first round. Here is how MMA fans saw the fight playing out.

"I stand up right there with him. That’d be good to fight him before everything is said and done with. I have a couple fights left on my contract. I would love to finish out my contract. That would be great if I can. It’d be good. Let him know I need to fight Tom Aspinall for the belt.

"I believe (Aspinall is a good matchup). (Knocking him out) is all I could do. What do you think I’m going to do, tap him out with a submission or something? I’m just looking to knock guys out. Every punch I’m throwing, I’m looking to knock their head off. I’m not trying to waste anything," Lewis said
