ESPN Raises Prices As PFL Deal Nears End

ESPN is raising subscription prices across its streaming tiers, with the increase landing just as the platform's broadcast deal with the PFL enters its final months.

The Disney-owned network announced that ESPN Unlimited will jump from $29.99 to $31.99 per month starting Sept. 17, MMA Fighting reports. The annual plan climbs from $299.99 to $319.99. ESPN Select, the scaled-down offering, rises from $12.99 to $13.99 monthly, with the yearly rate moving from $129.99 to $139.99.

PFL Searching For New Broadcast Home

The timing aligns with the NFL season launch in two weeks and ESPN's recent addition of NFL Network programming to the subscription service. For MMA fans, the PFL remains the only major promotion still airing fights on ESPN after the UFC's seven-year run ended and the organization shifted all programming to Paramount.

PFL's current ESPN contract runs through the end of 2026. The promotion recently merged with Jake Paul's MVP and plans to rebrand as MVP MMA in 2027, but no new broadcast deal has been announced. ESPN has not disclosed current subscriber counts for the Unlimited tier.

The PFL's next move beyond 2026 remains unclear as the promotion weighs an ESPN extension against potential deals with rival networks.
