Hooker Confronts French Fans After UFC Paris Loss

Dan Hooker had to be restrained by security after French fans mocked him following his first-round TKO loss to Salahdine Parnasse at UFC Paris on Saturday night.

New video from inside Accor Arena shows Hooker exiting the venue when someone in the crowd yelled at him, per MMA Mania. The lightweight turned back toward the stands and started moving in that direction before multiple security personnel grabbed him and escorted him backstage. Hooker flipped off the crowd as he left.

Hooker Received Death Threats Before UFC Paris

The confrontation capped a brutal night for Hooker, who was stopped in the first round after Parnasse landed a liver shot. It marked his third consecutive defeat. Before the fight, Hooker told media that French fans had sent him death threats in the lead-up to the bout.

The loss extends a rough stretch for the New Zealand fighter, who has consistently accepted short-notice fights against top contenders. Hooker is now 0-3 in his last three outings, all against ranked lightweights.

Parnasse improved his UFC record and established himself as a contender to watch at 155 pounds with the first-round finish. No word yet on when either fighter will return to action.
