Terence Crawford looked back at his win over Errol Spence Jr. to become the first undisputed welterweight champion of the four-belt era.

Bud made history by becoming undisputed in a second-weight class. In response, a victory parade was held for Crawford in his hometown of Ohama, Nebraska.

During the course of that process, Bud looked back at his humble beginnings to the present day, as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

Crawford On His Achievements

"I remember being 12 years old, in the streets, running to my grandma’s house, tryna to get it. [I always thought to myself], ‘Man, I’mma make it. Ain’t nothin’ gon’ stop me from makin’ it.’ Yeah, I was bad, I was in the streets with all the knuckleheads, but I still kept my mind on my ultimate goal, and that was to become a world champion.

"Little kid from Omaha. Overachiever. I always say I’m an overachiever because my dream was just to win one title. Now I’m on top of Mount Rushmore," Crawford said

Just as Crawford was happy with achievements, he also had a few words to say about Spence. Following his defeat, there were calls on Spence to walk away from the sport.

This was on the basis that he had lost the biggest fight of his career in devastating fashion.

And as there were worries over his long-term health, given that he has already overcome two car accidents, there was a feeling that Spence had nothing else to prove.

However, for Bud, he advised Spence to take some time away from the ring and then decide his future.

Crawford On Spence

"Well, I don’t think he should retire. I think he should take a little time off, you know, get his mind right and, you know, get back in the gym and get back focused.

"Because, you know, I never took a loss in the professional rankings. But I know how that could affect you mentally, you know, being at this high level and losing the way [Spence] lost.

"So, I just would tell him, you know, ‘You a great fighter. Take a little time off and come back and, you know, do it again. But don’t rush it," Crawford stated

Ultimately, Spence has to do what is best for him. But as for Crawford, there is no limit on what he can achieve as he gets ready to move up to 154.
