Edgar Chairez is not thrilled that Tommy McMillen made the main card of Noche UFC 4 while he fights earlier on Saturday's prelims.
Chairez, who faces Tim Elliott this weekend in Phoenix, told MMA Junkie's Spanish language podcast Hablemos MMA that McMillen only got the slot because of his personality and callouts. "They put Tommy McMillen on the main card, and he's a rookie," Chairez said, per MMA Junkie. "He's only there because he said something about Mexicans and posts his rockstar lifestyle – smoking weed, women, and that's what the market wants."

McMillen Called Out Mexicans After July Win
Chairez appeared to reference McMillen's post-fight comments in July, when the featherweight finished Alberto Montes and told UFC to send him a Mexican opponent for the Noche event. McMillen said he would be coming home for that card since he trains and lives in Arizona.
The Mexican flyweight said he takes a different approach to his career. "I live like an athlete," Chairez told the podcast. "And I want to give a good example for the youth. Yeah, I might curse a lot, but I'm an elite athlete who only shows my athletic life."

Chairez added that he no longer cares whether his professionalism gets appreciated as long as he keeps getting paid and receiving fights. McMillen faces a Phoenix crowd Saturday on a card built to celebrate Mexican fighters.
