Cejudo Announces Misfits Boxing Debut Against Deen The Great

Former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo will make his Misfits Boxing debut against influencer boxer Deen the Great on Sept. 26 at James L. Knight Arena in Miami.

MMA Fighting reports that Cejudo and the promotion confirmed the matchup Wednesday. The 39-year-old Olympic gold medalist hung up his gloves for the second time last December after dropping a decision to Peyton Talbott at UFC 323.

Cejudo's Combat Sports Return After UFC Exit

Since leaving MMA, Cejudo has competed twice in freestyle wrestling for Real American Freestyle, including a points loss to Merab Dvalishvili. The two are set for a rematch this Saturday at RAF 12 in Cleveland.

Cejudo has some boxing background, winning the Arizona State Copper Gloves tournament in 2010. Deen the Great brings a 7-1 record in exhibition matches, most recently losing a decision to Amado Vargas at Misfits Mania in December.

The Miami card marks Cejudo's first sanctioned boxing appearance since his amateur days.
