Dana White handed out a record six UFC contracts following Week 2 of Contender Series Season 10 at the Meta APEX, calling the Tuesday event one of the best nights in the show's history.
White revealed that fighters who earned contracts through the Contender Series since its July 2017 launch have collectively earned $225.3 million. "Talk about an opportunity," he said at the post-fight press conference, per UFC.com. The series has run for nine seasons, with White crediting matchmakers Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard for finding talent and putting together compelling bouts.

Brito's Knockout Highlights Banner Night
Brazilian welterweight Kaik Brito closed the show with a third-round knockout of Namo Fazil, landing a massive overhand right that White called one of the year's top finishes. White praised Brito for maintaining composure against an opponent who absorbed heavy shots and kept pressing forward. "That can be very disheartening when you got a guy coming at you and taking all your best shots and hitting you," White said. Whether Brito can replicate that success at the UFC level remains to be seen, White added.
Cristian Perez also earned a contract with a performance White said continues Mexico's tradition of delivering exciting fighters to the promotion. Roman Puga and Taner Trembley both received deals, with Trembley earning his despite losing his bout.
