Bruce Buffer faces Michael Buffer at World Cup final

UFC announcer Bruce Buffer shared the spotlight with his half-brother Michael Buffer at the FIFA World Cup final Sunday in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The pair split introducing duties for the Spain-Argentina match at MetLife Stadium, marking a rare dual appearance for the two combat sports voices. Michael Buffer, known for his boxing catchphrase "Let's get ready to rumble," and Bruce, whose "It's time!" slogan has defined UFC broadcasts for decades, each handled one team's entrance in front of a packed crowd.

Buffer brothers' World Cup announcing history

This was not the first time the siblings worked the tournament together. According to MMA Mania, they handled semi-final announcing separately, with Michael introducing the England-Argentina match and Bruce taking France-Spain. The final represented an upgrade, with both brothers featured in what the outlet described as "dueling intros."

Bruce managed Michael's career through the 1990s, helping monetize the "Let's get ready to rumble" trademark that became synonymous with big-fight boxing. The two have crossed paths professionally for years, though Sunday's World Cup gig put them in direct succession on soccer's biggest stage.

The final kicks off at 3 p.m. ET, with the winner claiming the 2026 World Cup trophy.
