Broner Picks Mayweather Over Garcia

Rumors of a Ryan Garcia vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight surfaced earlier this month.

Garcia, the 28-year-old WBC welterweight champion, says an offer is on the table but has ruled out an exhibition. Garcia claims Mayweather made the first call. “I’m ready Floyd, remember you made this call. I’m just returning the favor. Offer is on the table … Let’s see how much you love that ‘0’… And no I wouldn’t do an exhibition I want his 0 on the f—ing line,” Garcia.

Mayweather hasn’t had a sanctioned pro fight since beating Conor McGregor in 2017, boxing only exhibitions since. A planned pro return against Manny Pacquiao was postponed over legal issues on Pacquiao’s side. Four-weight champion Adrien Broner told Garcia to his face that Mayweather wins. “Floyd [wins]. Floyd gonna smoke bruh,” Broner.
