Flyweight prospect Bilal Hasan will make his UFC debut at UFC Shanghai on August 29, just days after knocking out Mridul Saikia in 45 seconds to earn a contract on Dana White's Contender Series.
The undefeated Hasan (9-0) entered the Octagon on Tuesday night as the biggest betting favorite in DWCS history, per BJPenn.com, surpassing alumni like Bo Nickal, Jamahal Hill, and Sean O'Malley. The former Cage Fury FC flyweight titleholder stopped Saikia inside the first minute to push his record to eight finishes across nine fights.

Hasan Faces Rojas In Battle Of Unbeaten Flyweights
The UFC announced Thursday that Hasan will face Nilson Rojas (9-0) in Shanghai. Rojas brings his own undefeated record into the Octagon, having secured first-round stoppages in four of his last five outings. The Venezuelan most recently defeated Gonzalo Hanampa by decision at Inka 59.
Hasan becomes one of the few Indonesian-born fighters in UFC history after turning pro in December 2022. Jeka Saragih broke that ground in February 2023 as the promotion's first Indonesian competitor.

The Shanghai card is headlined by a bantamweight clash between former title challenger Umar Nurmagomedov and Song Yadong. Former strawweight title contender Yan Xiaonan returns in the co-main event against Denise Gomes.
