Polish fighter lights joint in cage after DWN 10 knockout
Polish fighter Bartlomiej Skowyra capped his second-round finish at DWN 10 on Saturday by climbing the cage and lighting what appeared to be a joint he had pulled from his shorts.
The 5-5 welterweight stopped Pablo Moura in the second round at PreZero Arena in Gliwice, Poland, then vaulted onto the cage to produce the item, MMA Fighting reported. Skowyra, who fights under the nickname Bucketboy, lit it and took several draws before dropping back into the octagon to make the result official.
What Skowyra's celebration could mean for regional MMA rules
The celebration moved Skowyra to 6-5 as a professional. Regional promotions across Europe typically enforce fewer sponsorship and conduct restrictions than major organizations like the UFC, where fighters are subject to strict behavioral clauses both in and out of competition.
Poland decriminalized possession of small amounts of cannabis in 2011, though public consumption remains prohibited in most settings. Whether the DWN promotion or local athletic commission will take any action remains unclear.
Skowyra now holds two stoppage wins in his last three outings. No date has been announced for his next appearance.
