Smith, who challenged Jon Jones for the UFC title in 2019, was arrested Monday evening on three felony charges: attempted first-degree domestic assault, terroristic threats, and first-degree false imprisonment. He appeared before a judge Wednesday morning, and online court records confirm he is no longer listed on the jail roster after meeting the bond requirement.

What Smith Faces After Nebraska Arrest

The most serious charge carries a potential sentence of one to 50 years in prison. The terroristic threats charge, classified as a Class 3A felony, comes with up to three years and a $10,000 fine. Court records show the arrest affidavit remains sealed, and no date has been set for Smith's next hearing.

Smith retired from the UFC last year after dropping three straight fights but returned to competition in April, stopping Chase Sherman in a bare-knuckle MMA bout. At his peak, the veteran was ranked among the top light heavyweights in the promotion before falling short against Jones in his title bid.
