Serrano Gets Past A Determined Tellez

Amanda Serrano retained her unified featherweight titles (WBO and WBA) against Reina Tellez in a unanimous decision (98-92, 97-93, 97-93), as you can see how the fight played out live.

The homecoming in Puerto Rico marked a major reset for Serrano, who moved back down to her natural weight class after two losses to rival Katie Taylor at lightweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super lightweight. Serrano’s original opponent Erika Cruz was forced to withdraw due to an "atypical finding" in a VADA drug test for clenbuterol, allowing the 22-year-old Tellez to step in. Fighting under her preferred standard of three-minute rounds, Serrano used that extra minute in each round to break down the younger, less experienced Tellez.
