PFL pushes MENA event to July 10 in Riyadh venue switch
The Professional Fighters League pushed its Saudi Arabia event back three weeks and moved it to a new city. The card originally scheduled for June 19 in Jeddah will now take place July 10 at Boulevard Studios in Riyadh, per a Thursday press release reported by Sherdog.
The lineup stays largely intact. Hattan Alsaif makes her professional debut in the main event against Dania Ouhachi, an Algerian fighter sitting at 1-1 with both her win and loss coming by submission. Alsaif normally competes at 105 pounds while Ouhachi fights at 125, so they will meet at an unlisted catchweight.
Basahel returns in featured bout as MENA tournaments continue
Jeddah's Malik Basahel fights for the fourth time as a pro when he takes on Imad El Azami in a featured flyweight bout. Basahel carries a 3-0 record into the matchup against the undefeated El Azami.
The card also features four fights from the featherweight and welterweight brackets of the PFL MENA tournament series. Those matchups include Rachid El Hazoume against Ahmed Tarek, Elias Boudegzdame facing Hussein Salem at featherweight, and four welterweight pairings advancing fighters toward the semifinals.
This marks the second venue change for the event, which was initially planned for Dhahran Expo in Khobar in May before the June date in Jeddah. Weigh-ins and final card details are expected in the coming weeks.
