Adesanya Reportedly Next Faces Magomedov In Riyadh
Israel Adesanya is reportedly set to fight Sharabutdin Magomedov over five rounds on December 5 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Adesanya, 37, is looking to snap a four-fight skid. His last win was over Alex Pereira in April 2023. He then lost his title to Sean Strickland by unanimous decision and was stopped by Dricus du Plessis, Nassourdine Imavov and, most recently, Joe Pyfer in March.
Magomedov, 32, has beaten Marc-Andre Barriault and Michel Pereira since his first pro loss, to Michael Page in February 2025. He is 6-1 in the UFC and scored a double spinning back fist knockout of Armen Petrosyan in October 2024.
A win could move Magomedov into the middleweight top 10, while another loss would drop Adesanya further down the rankings. If confirmed, it would be Magomedov’s first UFC main event.
