Michael Chandler Challenges Conor McGregor On WWE RAW!

Michael Chandler called out Conor McGregor at WWE Monday Night RAW.

The pair have been linked with a UFC fight for some time. Their rivalry began in the TUF 31 series, where they competed as rival coaches. Chandler got the better of McGregor on the show, as his team outdid McGregor’s team. But when it came to the coach’s challenge, McGregor got the upper hand.

They were on course to fight in 2023, only for McGregor’s USADA testing requirement to complicate matters. Fighters must submit two negative samples over six months before they can compete. McGregor did not enrol in time before USADA departed, as a fight could only happen this year. McGregor then announced he was facing Chandler on June 29, only for Dana White to dismiss that, stating the UFC would announce his return.

“I don’t know. Conor McGregor’s got a lot of money. Any time we get Conor, we’ll be happy. You know, we’ll be thrilled when he comes and fights,” White said. “Money complicates a lot of things. He just filmed a movie. He’s got to do the press for the movie, and he’s got obligations with that. He does want to fight this year, but we’ll see what happens,” White revealed

That has left MMA fans wondering when they will see McGregor return. But now Chandler has put the pressure on McGregor to face him. The following footage shows Chandler grabbing the microphone as he interrupts the event to call out McGregor.

Chandler Calls Out McGregor

“What’s up, Anaheim? You are now in the presence of the most entertaining UFC fighter on the planet. Hey, now there’s a man from Ireland who’s been making me wait way too long and I still have got one dude on my mind. Conor McGregor, get your candy ass back to the octagon. We’ve got some unfinished business, boys. God bless. I’ll see you at the top,” Chandler said

If the Chandler fight does not happen, then the UFC Featherweight Champion Ilia Topuria could be an option for McGregor. Topuria became the champion, knocking out Alexander Volkanovski in the second round at UFC 298.

The victory ended Volkanovski’s four-year reign as champion, making Topuria one of the leading names in the UFC. The Spaniard previously spoke about his desire to fight McGregor in Spain, claiming it would sell out Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu. Now, the champion has called on McGregor to take up the challenge.

McGregor’s return is uncertain since he has not fought since his loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Given that he is 35, it is vital that he remains as active as possible. But with two fights left on his UFC deal, Dana White will be looking to utilize McGregor in a way that benefits the UFC the most.
