Dustin Poirier Wants UFC 300 Return; UFC 295 Sees 19 Fighters Suspended

Dustin Poirier is aiming to fight at UFC 300 in what would be a major feat.

The historic event is expected to take place in April, with many names being mentioned for the card. As of now, some of the names have included Conor McGregor, Brock Lesnar and even Ronda Rousey. Although that may have been the case, has appeared to have ruled out all those names. But now Poirier has put himself in the conversation.

The American, however, is coming off a loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC 291 when he was stopped in the second round with a kick towards the side of the neck. But rather than dwell on that loss, Poirier is looking to bounce back. He has spoken about his desire to run things back with Gaethje, as well as not ruling out a fight with McGregor for the fourth time as the latter did admit he wanted another crack.

Poirier’s Aim

“I probably would (say yes) – try to shut him up once and for all. But even if I slap his ass around again, he’s still going to be chatting. So we’ll see. Is him and Chandler official? I don’t know what’s going on. But that’s a huge fight. (Our rivalry is) 2-1 against him. I don’t really see another reason for it, but it’d be a huge fight,” Poirier said

With that being said, something was being planned.
