Jake Paul Accuses Muhammad Ali’s Son Of Ducking Him – ‘This Fraud Ducked Me’
Jake Paul has accused Muhammad Ali’s son, Nico Ali Walsh, of ducking him.
The comments came in response to Ali’s win over Sona Akale, where he faced some serious adversity. Ali defied his dislocated shoulder injury to get the win. After the victory, Ali stated that he had turned down a fight with Jake Paul to focus on his boxing, showing his dedication to the sport. The victory had taken his record to 10-1, as he built the foundations for a future world title shot. Paul also aspires to do that since he has recently beaten two pro boxers back-to-back in the form of Andre August and Ryan Bourland. While a fight could have made sense, both have given a different narrative.

“Before this fight I denied a multi-million dollar contract from MVP Promotions to fight Jake Paul and I’m fighting a real fighter tonight. So, I’m not part of that circus league of boxing. This is the real league of boxing. This is what I’m going to do. I just want everyone to know that I chose the path of boxing. I chose the path of legacy. If I wanted to I could be a millionaire right now,” Ali said
“Lol exactly. His whole point here works against him. I been trying to fight this fraud and now he admitted he ducked me but calling me a circus act. Gifted a decision tonight because of his last name. Shake my head,” Paul stated
Nevertheless, Paul has now moved on to other things. He will box Mike Perry on July 20. The fight continued after his initial fight with Mike Tyson was called off. Tyson pulled out due to an inflamed ulcer, and the fight was rescheduled for November 15. Those fights are not against pro boxers, raising question marks over Paul’s motives for fighting. If he is to secure a world title, he must improve his level of opposition.
Ali’s Aims
Meanwhile, Ali hopes to make further forays into the 140-pound division. He is eying the best in the 140-pound division, including Teofimo Lopez. The Takeover beat Steve Claggett via a unanimous decision to retain his title. After Claggett remained competitive in the first half and fought the fight, Lopez pulled away. A strong eighth and ninth round was enough to power away. Lopez plans on moving up to 147 to face the big names. He has requested a fight with Terence Crawford. However, that is unlikely since Bud is at 154. And yet, Ali hopes to face Lopez later in what would be the biggest fight of his career.
“Teofimo Lopez said in an interview a few weeks before this fight. He disrespected my family saying that that I’m only in boxing because I’m desperate for money and fame. And I thought that that was really wrong for someone that I used to look up to say. But you know, it is what it is,” Ali added
