Sandor Martin, born on August 22, 1993, in Barcelona, Spain, began his journey in boxing at a very young age, influenced by the rich sporting culture of his hometown. On July 6, 2013, he captured the vacant Spanish super-lightweight title with a unanimous decision over Daniel Rasilla. By April 2015, Martin had advanced to win the vacant European Union super-lightweight title, demonstrating his dominance in the division with a unanimous decision victory over Samuele Esposito. One of his most notable victories came on October 16, 2021, when he defeated the renowned American boxer Mikey Garcia by majority decision in Fresno, California. Continuing his success, Martin won the vacant WBA International super-lightweight title on April 1, 2022, by defeating José Félix Jr. via unanimous decision in Barcelona.
