Chandler Wants McGregor At 185, Anderson Silva Slams Adesanya Following His Loss

Michael Chandler is willing to face Conor McGregor even at middleweight.

The duo had long been linked with a fight ever since they faced each other as coaches on the TUF 31 series. However, McGregor’s failure to enroll in USADA has prevented the fight from getting made.

McGregor’s USADA Status

The organization requires fighters to submit two negative samples over a six-month timeframe before they are eligible to compete. So far, McGregor has not done so which has prevented him from fighting this year.

However, in the aftermath of Sean Strickland’s win over Israel Adesanya, the Notorious hinted that he could move up to middleweight to fight for the belt. And now Chandler has responded to that with his own intentions.

Silva Vs. Adesanya

Meanwhile, Anderson Silva has hit back at Adesanya after the latter had been compared to the UFC legend. Adesanya and Silva are regarded as the two-best strikers in the middleweight division.

Although Adesanya did get a win over Silva, it was during the tail-end of the latter’s career. Not only that, but Silva has the UFC record for having the most consecutive defences of his middleweight belt.

This included 10 defences in a row. Meanwhile, Adesanya has only defended the belt on five occasions during his whole career. With that being said, the response from Silva came following Adesanya’s shock loss at UFC 293 against Strickland.

Izzy lost via a unanimous decision as he failed to defend the middleweight title that he had won against Alex Pereira. As a result, Silva responded to Adesanya in a post that has now been deleted.

Silva’s Comments

“I’m the one in charge of this sh*t here, and you’re not going to open your mouth again to compare yourself to me in this sh*t. Do you understand? I’m the one in charge of this sh*t here,” Silva

Adesanya has yet to respond to this, but the only way he can do so is to keep winning in the cage. You can stay up-to-date with the latest happenings in the world of boxing and MMA by visiting boxingblitz right here.
