Bivol, Wilder, and Zhang’s Grand Arrivals
The Grand Arrivals for the Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang clash took place.
The arrivals are part of a wider 5 vs 5 event. This will see the best fighters from Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren’s stable fighting each other. Both men are looking to rectify their losses to Joseph Parker in their last fights. A win is vital for either man to put their names into the conversation for the biggest fights in the heavyweight division. Wilder and Zhang both possess knockout power, making this a 50-50 fight.
Elsewhere, Dmitry Bivol takes on Malik Zinad in a light heavyweight clash. Bivol was meant to have an Undisputed Light Heavyweight Fight against Artur Beterbiev. However, Beterbiev pulled out after suffering a knee injury, allowing Zinad to step in. Bivol’s biggest wins have come against Canelo Alvarez, Jean Pascal and Zurdo Ramirez.
He beat Lyndon Artur last December, marking a return to the sport after a year out. Zinad is not the biggest name and is a huge underdog. He has a 22-0 record with 16 knockouts. His last bout was a majority decision win over Jerome Pampellone in April. But Bivol is by far his biggest test.
