Wilder Aims To Knock Parker Out Of The Ring

Deontay Wilder wants to send Joseph Parker out of the ring with a brutal knockout.

The Bronze Bomber sent a chilling warning ahead of his bout against the former WBO heavyweight champion on December 23rd, 2023. The American has 42 knockouts in his 43 wins, showing he is one of the most destructive punchers ever. The power showed even after the two knockout losses to Fury. The former WBC heavyweight champion returned with a first-round knockout loss to Robert Helenius. And now it appears that Parker could become the latest victim.

Wilder On Parker

“I wanna knock him out the ring. [And] I ain’t never knocked a guy out the ropes yet, I wanna add that to the highlight reel, to knock him out of the ropes. I think it’d be very pleasurable for those watching and even myself. That’s how I visualise things going.

“He’s live, he’s gonna come with some heart, at least for the first couple of rounds. But it’s gonna be up to me. I ain’t playing no games with any of these fighters, like [my trainer] Malik Scott would say, ‘They’re all f***ed,” Wilder said

A knockout would be a significant statement, given that Wilder is fighting on the biggest stage. The card also includes Anthony Joshua and Dmitry Bivol. The expectation is that if Wilder comes through his fight, then a mega fight against Joshua will follow. And following Wilder’s recent admission that he has signed a contract with the Saudis for the next few fights, the future does look bright.

“I just signed a contract with Saudi. An amazing contract with Saudi. Exciting contract with Saudi. I-can’t-mother-f—ing-wait contract with Saudi. So these next few fights are going to be with Saudi. After this we’ll see what happens. But I’m just happy right now to be a part of what’s going on in the boxing industry. I’m looking forward to the future,” Wilder stated

Wilder’s Future

Nevertheless, Wilder will have to be wary of one thing. Parker is a sparring partner with Fury. The Gypsy King is well aware of what it takes to overcome Wilder. Fury had the ability to walk down Wilder and gain his respect with the power that he produced.

At the same time, Fury managed to get off the canvas on more than one occasion to come out victorious. Expecting Parker to do the same is difficult, given Fury’s physical advantages played a massive part in that. As such, Wilder remained confident about his chances as he looked at what awaited him following the Parker fight.

“If I had it my way, I would go with Joshua because that’s the biggest fight in the world. It always has been and still is to this day. And then after that I’d get the winner of Usyk and Fury,” Wilder

Come fight night, Wilder will have to back up those words. But Parker could be in for a long night based on Wilder’s last fight.
