Sean O’Malley Eyes Zuffa Boxing Debut

Sean O’Malley has put his name forward to appear on Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing as a crossover star.
After a difficult 2025 where he lost his title and a subsequent rematch to Merab Dvalishvili, O’Malley looked sharp in January 2026, securing a unanimous decision over Song Yadong at UFC 324. O’Malley is one of the few active UFC stars with a professional boxing victory already on his record. He has a first-round knockout on his record, having boxed once in 2016. While he exchanged verbals with Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia, and Shakur Stevenson on social media, O’Malley is proposing a cautioned approach to a boxing opponent.
“Find me a 5-0 boxer – build me up slowly. I want to be paid reasonably, but you don’t have to pay me [crazy money]. A few racks to fight a 3-0, 4-0 guy on Zuffa Boxing. I would love to do that. That would be interesting. I really feel that my style can transition. God, that would be fun. But you can’t question Dana White. It has potential. I would love to transition into boxing. Suga versus Gervonta Davis, that would be sick. I would love to do that,” O’Malley said
Dana White’s boxing brand has finally started to gain traction in early 2026, hosting its first two shows at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. Zuffa Boxing 01 featured rising star Callum Walsh defeating Carlos Ocampo. Meanwhile, Zuffa Boxing 02 saw Jose “Rayo” Valenzuela win a decision over Diego Torres.
The promotion will also crown its first world champion on March 8, as Jai Opetaia faces Brandon Glanton for the inaugural Zuffa cruiserweight title. However, outside of boxing, O’Malley has his eyes on a title shot as he targets a fight with the current bantamweight champion Petr Yan.
“Petr Yan has something that I want. All respect to Merab [Dvalishvili]. If he gets the next shot, it’s well deserved. But Petr Yan, you want that rematch. I want that belt. Let’s make it happen. This feels so f*cking good! God, it feels good to win. I hate losing. F*ck this feels good,” O’Malley stated
