Dana White reached out to Bella Mir moments after her upset loss on Dana White's Contender Series, checking on the heavily favored prospect who failed to secure a UFC contract on the show's Week 3 card.
White disclosed the conversation during the DWCS Week 4 post-fight press conference, per Sherdog. The UFC CEO said he called Mir immediately following her defeat to Alex Apodaca and found her in good spirits. "She was in a good place," White said. "She's like, 'Listen, I've lost before. I've lost jiu-jitsu matches. I've lost wrestling matches. You know, I've lost before; I know what it feels like to lose and I'm good. I'll be back and I'll come back stronger.'"

Could Mir Return Later This Season
When asked whether Mir could get another shot on DWCS before Season 10 wraps, White left the door open. He indicated the decision rested with Mir and her father, former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir.
Mir entered the bout as a significant favorite given her pedigree and undefeated run through regional competition. Apodaca's finish marked one of the season's biggest upsets and denied the daughter of the two-time UFC titleholder a guaranteed path to the promotion.
