Wanchainoi Eyes Nadaka After Petnamkhong Test

Wanchainoi Pongsuphan PK tops Friday's strawweight Muay Thai main event against Petnamkhong Sor Maneekhot at The Inner Circle 26, with a four-fight winning streak and a potential title shot on the line. The bout streams live from Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium in Asia primetime.

A win extends Wanchainoi's current run to four straight and pushes him closer to a six-figure main roster contract, but the 25-year-old made clear his ambitions stretch beyond the payday. "I want to make a statement to the boss. If I win impressively, I hope to get a shot at proving myself on the global stage," he told BJPenn.com.

Path to Nadaka Goes Through Petnamkhong

That statement is aimed squarely at reigning ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Nadaka, widely considered one of the best pound-for-pound strikers in the sport and the fighter Wanchainoi considers his ultimate test. Getting there first requires solving Petnamkhong's height and reach advantage, a puzzle Wanchainoi has spent fight week preparing to crack. "Stepping into the ring with Nadaka is definitely part of that vision," he said, per BJPenn.com.

Wanchainoi's road to this headlining slot has been anything but straight. The Thai fighter completed military service and briefly pursued a pop singing career before committing fully to Muay Thai, a background that makes his current three-fight streak feel especially unlikely. That run includes a bonus-earning first-round knockout of Dokmaipa Santiubon at ONE Friday Fights 160, a finish that snapped his opponent's own four-fight winning streak and helped position him for Friday's main event.

A victory over Petnamkhong would mark his fourth consecutive win and strengthen the case that a Nadaka matchup belongs in ONE Championship's near future. The Inner Circle 26 streams live Friday from Lumpinee Stadium.
