UFC Freedom 250 fighters faced reporters Wednesday morning in Washington, D.C., as the promotion held media day for its unprecedented White House card.

The session, as detailed by MMA Fighting, ran from mid-morning through mid-afternoon and featured a parade of main card stars and undercard contenders. Alex Pereira, Ilia Topuria, Michael Chandler, Sean O'Malley, and Justin Gaethje all took questions, alongside commentary duo Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier.

Derrick Lewis told reporters he plans to beat Josh Hokit decisively. "I don't want to make the President look bad," Lewis said, per MMA Fighting. Ciryl Gane, Bo Nickal, and Diego Lopes also spoke, with featherweight contenders Mauricio Ruffy and Steve Garcia kicking off the day's schedule.

Tensions flared earlier this week when Topuria and Gaethje traded barbs during a face-to-face interview. Topuria reportedly told his opponent to shut up in profane terms, reminding Gaethje who holds the belt. The two are expected to headline or co-headline the card at the White House grounds.

UFC Freedom 250 marks the first combat sports event held at the executive mansion. First bell is scheduled for later this month.
