UFC Vegas 120 poster revealed for Gamrot vs. Salkilld on Aug. 8

The UFC released its promotional poster for Vegas 120, a lightweight showdown between Mateusz Gamrot and Quillan Salkilld set for Aug. 8 at Meta Apex in Las Vegas.

MMA Mania reported that the poster dropped on social media last week. The card pairs the eighth-ranked Gamrot with the surging No. 12 contender Salkilld in what marks a significant step up for the 26-year-old Australian.

Gamrot's return after Ribovics submission win

Gamrot returns to the Octagon for his fourth UFC main event. The Polish grappler is 9-4 in the promotion and bounced back from a submission loss to Charles Oliveira at UFC Rio by finishing Esteban Ribovics in the second round at UFC 327. He holds wins over Arman Tsarukyan, Rafael dos Anjos, Rafael Fiziev, and Jalin Turner across his 26-4-1 career record.

Salkilld has torn through the lightweight division since arriving via Contender Series Season 8. The red-hot prospect is 5-0 in the UFC with four first-round knockouts and four performance bonuses. His most recent outing saw him knock out Beneil Dariush at UFC Perth, earning his first ranking and what many considered a knockout-of-the-year candidate.

The card also features Amanda Lemos against Alexia Thainara, Diego Ferreira against Billy Quarantillo, and Louie Sutherland against José Montanha. First bell rings Aug. 8.
