UFC Shanghai Weigh-Ins Set For Umar vs. Song

UFC Shanghai fighters step on the scale tonight ahead of Saturday's bantamweight showdown between Umar Nurmagomedov and Song Yadong.

MMA Mania reports the first fighter is expected to weigh in at 9 p.m. ET, with the promotion serving as its own athletic commission and affording a one-pound allowance in non-title bouts. The Paramount+ card streams live from Shanghai Indoor Stadium on Aug. 29.

Main Card Features Bantamweight and Strawweight Contenders

Nurmagomedov, a former title challenger, faces China's Song in the main event at 135 pounds. The co-headliner pits strawweight contenders Yan Xiaonan against Denise Gomes at 115 pounds. Kai Asakura meets Aori Qileng in another featured bantamweight contest.

The main card also includes Alex Perez against Sumudaerji at flyweight, Levi Rodrigues Jr. versus Ce Liu at heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight, and Bilal Hasan taking on Nilson Rojas at 125 pounds.

Seven prelims round out the 13-bout lineup, with Jack Jenkins facing Sean Woodson at featherweight and Jingnan Xiong meeting Julia Polastri in a strawweight bout among the undercard attractions.
