UFC Freedom 250 Drives $100K in Veteran Donations via Polymarket

UFC partnered with Polymarket and Meta to distribute $100,000 across four veteran-focused nonprofits during UFC Freedom 250 fight week in mid-June, according to a statement from the promotion. Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the National Medal of Honor Museum, Tunnel To Towers Foundation, and Blinded Veterans Association each received $25,000 donations as part of the initiative surrounding the June 14 event at the White House.

Dana White led a group of UFC athletes — Alexander Volkanovski, Gilbert Burns, Randy Brown, and Josh Emmett — on a June 12 visit to Walter Reed in Bethesda, Maryland, where they met more than 150 veterans receiving treatment. The delegation toured the hospital's MAT-C physical therapy unit and presented 25 service members injured in Operation Enduring Freedom with UFC Community Heroes Awards, BMF Belts, and event merchandise. White personally selected each honoree through the UFC Foundation's recognition program for military, law enforcement, and first responder communities.

Meta Supplies AI Glasses to Blind Veterans

Meta provided Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses to the Walter Reed honorees as part of a national campaign with Blinded Veterans Association that aims to reach 130,000 veterans experiencing blindness, per the release. The AI-powered eyewear assists with reading documents and navigation. A separate meet-and-greet at the Warrior Center drew roughly 125 military personnel for meals, merchandise, and a viewing party.

On June 13 and 14, UFC and Polymarket recognized 30 Medal of Honor recipients and first responders as Community Heroes, each receiving a commemorative UFC Freedom 250 Belt and award plaque before escorting fighters to the Octagon. The National Medal of Honor Museum and Tunnel To Towers Foundation set up activation booths during the Fan Fest to showcase their missions.

UFC Freedom 250, presented by Crypto.com and Ram, took place June 14 on the South Lawn of the White House. The promotion's #UFCInTheCommunity program coordinates charitable efforts with partners and sponsors across local markets.
