Sedriques Dumas removed from UFC roster after sentencing
Sedriques Dumas has been removed from the UFC roster following his sentencing in a Florida court case tied to his April 2025 arrest.
The promotion quietly dropped Dumas from its active fighter list after nine fights with the organization, MMA Fighting reports. It remains unclear whether the 30-year-old middleweight was released or simply reached the end of his contract. He last competed in April, when he lost by submission to Jackson McVey for his second consecutive defeat.
Sentencing details and conditions
Dumas settled his legal case in June after prosecutors in Escambia County dropped three of five charges against him, according to online court records reviewed by MMA Fighting. He pleaded no contest to possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted Florida felon and possession of marijuana over 20 grams. The judge sentenced him to six months of community control — effectively house arrest in Florida — followed by 48 months of probation, with both counts running concurrently.
Additional conditions include 50 hours of community service, a substance abuse evaluation with recommended treatment, anger management counseling, and maintaining full-time employment. Dumas cannot possess weapons or firearms and must pay court fees. The sentence was handed down June 24.
Dumas filed a motion July 10 to modify his probation and community control terms, though the court has not ruled on the request. He competed three times for the UFC between his arrest and his roster removal, and he is now free to sign with another promotion.
